Late Nite Homework

When the going gets tough, the tough get choppin'. For a few nights straight, Miss Yumi and Muppy have been having late night study sessions on you know what: London! Sleep has been out of the question, and Muppy has been able to cope surprisingly well. Some days, we just have to settle down to some map studying, scheme hatching, british comedy watching action. Hopefully our hard work will pay off soon :)

Butterflies and Octopus Flowers

Speaking of offerings, a big surprise was left at the front door by a large unmarked van in the afternoon. It ended up being some "Just Because" love from Puppy to Miss Yumi, but Muppy could not keep his paws off of the present. Although Muppy is as tough as they come, he isn't afraid of embracing his feminine side. When he found out the bouquet came with a butterfly on a stick, Muppy fell in love. His new dream in life was to become an indoor gardener. Now, if only he could somehow get a prescription for Zyrtec© and stop Miss Yumi from ruining his pollination process.

For Hardcore Kittens

Muppy the Pup is a man-dog and his best friends are also rough and tumble. At this point, it had been almost an entire month since Muppy had seen his bestest friend, Kiki‘kikiki the Kitten and he was starting to soften. With every passing day, he missed her more and wanted to see that discerning frown again. He even missed her pudge.

But Muppy couldn't just be a sad pile of wuss. He was a man. Dog. And so was Kitten. A few hours later, he presented me with a studded leather offering for the lady, and showed me his transformed collar. Hopefully, Kiki will accept the friendship gift and never forget her man.

"Let me introduce you to my Fishies"

When Muppy and Miss Yumi left Honolulu, they brought along Felix, a slightly transparent and red Betta fish to give to her parents. When Muppy and Miss Yumi left Seattle, they brought along Felix, a slightly transparent and red Betta fish to give to her parents and Chipotle, a whitish teal and speckled Betta fish to bring to London. Miss Yumi's escapades with Miss Nina included a trip to the pet store, where she purchased a home for Chipotle, who had been living out of his small carrier. When Felix the Elder found out that the baby had a snazzy new studio with wallpaper, he became upset and withdrawn and began to stare Chipotle down... way down. Muppy tried mediating the two without much success, and tried to come away with a viable solution, but Felix demanded an upgrade.

More fish drama coming soon!

Operation NinYum

It had been about 10 days since Muppy and Miss Yumi arrived in Annapolis to stay with her parents before shipping off to London, and Muppy was beginning to wonder. Did this Miss Yumi have any childhood friends? What was her past? Should he be reporting back to Kiki and Puppy that her existence in the Northeast was mysterious and secluded?

Later that day, Muppy awoke to Miss Yumi scuffling around the house with, lo and behold, the lovely Miss Nina, aspiring architect! Apparently, the co-owner and co-founder of the NinYum Foundation (of years ago, when sleepovers, Sweet Tarts and Star Wars were all the rage) had appeared to steal Miss Yumi away to some shopping and a movie. Luckily, Miss Yumi was returned safely so that Muppy could rest again.

Alleged shot of Miss Nina at a local store. Those glasses shout,
"Don't get in my way. I live in D.C. and you drive too slow."

Birthday Business

Birthdays are Miss Yumi's favorite holidays and April 23rd just so happens to be her Papa and Shakespeare's birthday. Even though little Muppy has been teaching Miss Yumi the lazy art of sleeping in, sun shining at high noon gets the two out of bed and out in the garden. They decide to sweep the entire backyard and help prune and clean each section as a surprise for Miss Yumi's dad. After a few minutes of weeding, Muppy's allergies act up, so he retreats a little early and keeps the house safe from wandering children with overpriced lemonade. :)

Saying Goodbye is Hard to Do

Miss Yumi and Muppy's last night in Washington was yet another night to remember. After some reading time at Barnes and Nobles, Karen and Miss Yumi decide that their new hotspot in Bellevue, Sushi Mojo is the way to go. Muppy, who had never been, was up for anything. Once the Bellevue Mahjong Team of Karen, Miss Yumi, Lingo and Frank reunited, the food could be served. The party moved onto Parlor, where more people showed up for pool and drinks. Muppy was exhausted by the end of the night, but can't wait to visit Seattle and Bellevue again!
