The Day of the Floating Ephemera

When Muppy woke up, there were seeds and orbs floating in the wind. Everything he had experienced thus far was nice and pleasant, but he sensed a change coming. Today was Boy's Day and Cinco de Mayo. A day of feasting and fun for most, but poor Muppy had work to do and would save his koi-flying celebrations for a day when he could play with Kiki once again.

Sideways with the Old, Adjacent with the New!

Turns out the G.I. Joe laptop got a very low rating, so Miss Yumi found a suitably smaller sized yet upgraded version of the computer she was using. "Dakine," the 15-inch MacBook Pro would not go down without a fight as the tiny 13-inch known as"Chicken Kicker–the Destroyer of iPads" was a tough laptop to attain. A four day fiasco of customer service and compatibility problems stormed down on Miss Yumi, which ended with her going to read in the other room.

Early Monday morning, Miss Yumi's mom saved the day by dropping off a cable that would help Muppy transfer files from Miss Yumi's older computer to her new work station. He could see himself as a top notch IT technician, but what he didn't like were the lies. This little new computer was only a few days old and was already fibbing about the completion time of said transfer. The nonsense was cause for a nap in Muppytown. Maybe when he woke up, the horrible process would be over.

Time's a tickin'

And Miss Yumi's computer don't work. Well, not properly and not while using certain applications. With a few projects due and more side projects that she'd like to do, Miss Yumi has had to tri-monitor it with the help of her dad's computer set-up. Maybe it's time to get that new laptop? Muppy made it clear that he wants the GI Joe Mars laptop with the headset digital camera. We'll see.

Early Morning Brew

After about a week of touristy play, Miss Yumi and Muppy get to work. In a downtown Seattle Tully's, Miss Yumi teaches Muppy how to use Adobe Illustrator and then let's him do his thing. He's a quick learner. MacBook Pro. After finishing up a rough draft for a Kalihi-Palama health brochure, they head down to Pier 55, home of The Matale Line. Miss Yumi gets a chance to reminisce with her old co-workers and then settles down to use their internet to send in her project. Go non-profit design go!
